FirstIndonesiaMagz.id, Jakarta-Workshop mengenai pencegahan dan penanggulangan kebakaran baterai listrik dengan subtema “Pencegahan dan Penanggulangan Keselamatan Kebakaran Kendaraan Listrik di Rumah dan Tempat Kerja” telah sukses diselenggarakan di kawasan The Arumaya, Gedung Menara Fifastralabs, Jakarta Selatan pada Kamis (18/01/2024).
Workshop yang diselenggarakan oleh First Indonesia Magazine ini dihadiri oleh para pembicara terkemuka dalam bidangnya, antara lain:
- Randall Hart, BSc. MSc. (Managing Director M-Fire Technologies USA, PT. Hartindo Chemicatama Industri)
- Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Evvy Kartini (National Battery Research Institute, Indonesia National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), Indonesia)
- Parlindungan Yonathan (Country Head at UL Solutions- Global independent safety science company with more than a century of expertise innovating safety solutions).
Dengan moderator handal, Harry Dwi Putra, seorang ahli dalam bidang penilaian teknis proteksi kebakaran, kesehatan dan keselamatan kerja, serta penilaian kinerja perusahaan & sistem manajemen mutu lead auditor.
Acara workshop ini juga didukung oleh Koordinator Pengembangan Usaha Konservasi Energi Direktorat Konservasi Energi, Ditjen EBTKE Kementerian ESDM, Devi Laksmi yang turut mengapresiasi acara tersebut.
Menariknya lagi dalam workshop tersebut Randall Hart juga membeberkan kesulitan pemadaman sering terjadi saat kebakaran pada baterei lithium-ion.
“Salah satu penyebab kesulitan ini adalah desain kendaraan listrik (EV) yang membuat petugas pemadam sulit mencapai sumber kebakaran,” ucap Randall.
Selain itu, penyalaan ulang yang terjadi setelah kebakaran juga menjadi tantangan. Proses kimia yang tidak stabil dalam baterai dapat menyebabkan lepasnya gas beracun dan mudah terbakar. Hal ini dapat mengganggu upaya pemadaman api dan berpotensi mengganggu lalulintas atau warga setempat di sekitar lokasi kebakaran.
Lebih lanjut, dalam workshop itu juga dikatakan Evvy Kartini peraturan atau pedoman dalam penanganan kebakaran baterai listrik hingga saat ini belum ada. Namun, untuk peraturan limbah baterai sudah ada sejak lama.
Dia juga menjelaskan meskipun belum ada peraturan khusus dalam konteks penanganan kebakaran baterai listrik, penting bagi individu atau pihak yang terlibat dalam penanganan baterai listrik untuk mempersiapkan diri dengan pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang diperlukan.
“Selain itu, mengidentifikasi tanda-tanda awal kebakaran yang disebabkan oleh baterai listrik juga penting untuk mengambil tindakan pencegahan yang tepat,” jelas dia.
Menurut dia, meskipun baru pertama kali datang ke acara tersebut sebagai pembicara, dirinya merasa acara tersebut sangatlah bagus.
“Very good, sangat bagus karena ini ada teknologinya, dan tentang safety juga kita kasih tahu. Ini sangat bermanfaat dan harus dilaksanakan,” ucap dia.
Di sisi lain, Parlindungan Yonathan mengungkapkan peraturan dan standar teknis terkait penanganan kebakaran baterai listrik biasanya ditetapkan oleh pemerintah.
“Biasanya regulasi itu akan diikuti oleh standar, nah pengacuan standar itulah yang sebenarnya perlu dikembangkan lagi di Indonesia. Itu yang belum banyak khususnya dalam mobil listrik.,” kata Yonathan.
Serupa dengan tanggapan Evvy Kartini, Yonathan juga mengatakan acara tersebut adalah acara yang sangat baik untuk diikuti.
“Hal ini karena satu hal penting dalam new teknologi itu ada informasi. Jika kita bicara teknologi baru biasanya disertai dengan risiko baru, seperti cyber security dan lainnya. Tetapi jika kita mempunyai akses terhadap informasi tersebut dengan benar akan sangat bermanfaat untuk kita. Dalam konteks mobil listrik misalnya, memang berbahaya, tetapi jauh lebih besar manfaatnya dari pada bahayanya,” ungkap Yonathan.
Dia juga menjelaskan acara ini dapat menjadi tempat untuk belajar dan berkomunikasi dengan orang-orang yang berpengalaman dalam teknologi baru.
“Kita perlu tahu informasi-informasi dan kebiasaan yang perlu dilakukan dengan adanya teknologi baru, nah ini forumnya seperti ini. Khususnya orang-orang manufacturing dan para ahli itu bisa share tentang risiko yang ada dan cara memitigasi,” imbuh dia.
Workshop ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman masyarakat mengenai pencegahan dan penanganan kebakaran baterai listrik, khususnya dalam konteks kendaraan listrik di rumah dan tempat kerja. Dengan adanya perkembangan teknologi baterai, pemahaman yang baik akan keselamatan dan langkah-langkah preventif sangatlah penting.
Acara ini diharapkan dapat memberikan wawasan yang berharga bagi para peserta, serta mendorong upaya-upaya nyata dalam meningkatkan keselamatan terkait penggunaan baterai listrik.
